Brian began his career as an English teacher but turned web developer in 2016. After spending a year mentoring other aspiring devs at his boot camp, he joined Veryable to fix, expand, and eventually revamp the entire web frontend of their marketplace. Along the way, he had the privilege to recruit, train, learn from, and lead a number of engineers, one of whom founded Hanawilo. After managing first the frontend team and then the entire tech team, Brian longed to return to teaching. Now he teaches English and keeps up with tech on the side. He's still passionate about helping people learn the skills they need to enter the profession.
